Gloucestershire is home to the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), which employs
thousands of people in the county. In fact, the UK government is investing £1.9 billion in a five-year
National Cyber Security Strategy. This includes a brand new £20 million-plus Cyber Park that's
expected to bring 12,000 new jobs - just a stone's throw away from our Cheltenham Campus.
Furthermore, our Cheltenham Campus was awarded £3 million to invest in its computing facilities,
providing our students with world-class tools and technology. Our state-of-the-artfacility ADA:
Advanced Digital Academy will play an integral part in training and up-skilling our students, ensuring
they are prepared for working life in industry.
As well as recent investment in programmable drones and forensic toolkits, our students use the latest
software to problem solve real-life cyber attack scenarios in our brand new computing labs and
attack and defence room. Our highly qualified lecturers provide unrivalled support with tutor
on-track sessions, and coordinate guest speakers from the likes of GCHQ, Renishaw, NorthGreen
Security, Lockhead Martin, Pentest and CGI.
