Once you have completed your further
education course, there are lots of options
for your next steps at GC. You could progress
to the next level of your course, do a Higher
National Certificate or Diploma, a foundation
degree or degree, undertake a higher, degreelevel
apprenticeship or even a higher-level
professional qualification.
University-level learning, also known as Higher
Education (HE), is likely to further increase your
career options, future pay prospects and chances
of promotion. The UK job market requires
qualified workers to fill skills gaps, meaning more
people are studying HE qualifications to develop
the higher-level skills needed by employers.
Why GC and not university?
Smaller class sizes, curriculum and facilities
that keep pace with the latest developments; a
friendly atmosphere and great industry links are
just some of the reasons that students choose GC
over larger universities.
Many university courses are full time, but at
GC you have the option to study most of our HE
courses on a part-time basis.
Our flexible approach means your learning can
fit around existing home or work commitments,
and you can live at home as our campuses are
right on your doorstep.
Plus, you'll find the same industry-standard
facilities and professional lecturers at college
as you would at university.
